Let’s Collaborate!
Miranda Fonseca was born out of a deep-seated passion for Portugal and its rich cultural heritage. The founder Nuno Fonseca, who was working in the demanding film industry, often faced long hours and intense work schedules. This led him to seek a change and a new venture that could bring him closer to his roots and share his love for his homeland.
A material-led platform dedicated to connecting Portuguese craftsmanship with contemporary architectural and design practice. Focused on natural stone, ceramics, breezeblocks, and furniture, we work with leading manufacturers in Portugal to bring refined, design-driven materials to international projects across residential, hospitality, commercial, and public spaces.
At the core of our work is a clear mission to bridge the gap between Canadian designers and Portuguese manufacturers, creating direct, meaningful relationships that allow materials to move seamlessly from source to specification. By combining local knowledge with international reach, we support architects and designers in accessing authentic Portuguese production with clarity, efficiency, and creative intent.
We operate at the intersection of culture, material, design, and architecture, ensuring that craftsmanship is not only preserved but actively integrated into modern design language. Through this approach, Miranda Fonseca becomes more than a representative network, it becomes a connector of people, process, and place.
